The Fract

Located in the central industrial neighbourhood,
historically known for the production of jewellery,
metal and wood-works, is the Fract Building.
This project aims to rejuvenate the derelict area
on the outskirts of Livery street. Through the
re-connection of past typologies integrated with
the community, the craft and landscape of the area

Revive inactive areas with a green network and a apprenticeship building that connects to urban leisure districts located in viaduct cross ways

enhance and encourage circulation of the public into the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

Clients: Jewellery quarter improvement district, National Apprenticeships, Birmingham City Council, Colmore business district

The clients have collated to establish a Metal and Jewellery apprenticeship unit for Birmingham natives, assisting in creation of employment skilled young adults, which will overall increase skilled labourers in the quarter.

The building should contain
functions for men tees
to, learn, create and
manufacture, and continue to instil celebration of the quarter. Moreover they is a need for an adequate space
for the penultimate student exhibition
in front of employers from the colmore business district.

To support economic growth the public can purchase
products by students in
proposed-leisure districts and
on-site shops.
